ScreenTune Support Policy

This is what you get when you buy a ScreenTune product: a 90-day support window, the refund and replacement terms, and a clear line around what support can and can’t fix. ScreenTune modifies the Gen 6 Mazda Connect infotainment software. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by Mazda. The product is for vehicles you own, lease, or are authorized to service.

Support runs 90 days from the date of purchase and covers the firmware version validated at intake or self-certification — for current products, v74.00.324A.

CategoryExamples
Installation issuesUSB not recognized, progress screen failure, incomplete install
Tweak malfunctionA documented feature not working — disclaimer still appearing, touch not enabled
Recovery assistanceUninstalling via the Miatafy app, troubleshooting a partial restore
Replacement mediaRe-issue of USB drives that arrive defective, get lost, or are physically damaged

If a Mazda firmware update overwrites your ScreenTune changes inside the 90-day window, re-installation guidance is free.

The line is install. Before you install, a refund is straightforward; after you install, it isn’t.

SituationResolution

If you’re unsure whether ScreenTune is right for your car, read the product page before buying, not after.

CategoryWhy
Hardware failuresDead screen, no power, USB port damage, speaker faults — not caused by software changes
Unsupported firmwareAnything not on v74.00.324A at purchase. Get there first via getting to v74; risky versions are listed in not supported yet
Wrong or misrepresented vehicleA product used on a car that doesn’t match the intake or self-certification
Other toolsProblems from third-party modification methods applied before or after ScreenTune
Out-of-window firmware updatesIf a Mazda update overwrites changes after the 90 days, re-installation is on the owner
Warranty and dealer adviceWe can’t advise on warranty claims, dealer conversations, or manufacturer policy
Network and connectivityBluetooth pairing, cellular, and phone-side Wi-Fi/CarPlay handshake issues — these depend on stock Mazda hardware and your phone, not something ScreenTune can fix
Issues reported after 90 daysOutside the support window

Support doesn’t transfer with the car. If you sell the vehicle, the new owner completes a fresh compatibility intake and buys their own product to get support.

Include all three so the first reply can actually help:

  • Order identifier
  • A description of the issue
  • Photos or video of the unexpected behavior, when there’s something to show

Requests missing this take longer to resolve. Support is handled through the contact method in your order confirmation; typical response time is within 48 hours.

  • ScreenTune changes the infotainment system only. It does not touch braking, steering, airbags, or stability control.
  • Removing the startup disclaimer screen is a cosmetic UI change. It disables no safety feature.
  • Touch-while-driving ships in the products that include it. The owner is responsible for operating the touchscreen while moving; ScreenTune does not encourage distracted driving.
  • We make no claim that changes are undetectable by dealer or manufacturer diagnostic tools.
