A MIATAFY PRODUCT · FOR THE MAZDA CONNECT SCREEN
A FASTER,
SMOOTHER
MAZDA SCREEN.
A tested upgrade for the Mazda Connect screen: snappier screen, CarPlay connects sooner, fewer annoyances. One-time, one-step install.
No computer required · Reversible · Tested on real cars
Built for the software your car runs today.
ScreenTune is built and tested for v74 (v74.00.324A), the final Gen 6 software most Mazda Connect cars run today. Every change is made for what's actually in your car.
See if your car is supported →Three steps. That's the whole thing.
Order it
Tell us your car and check out. One standardized product. No custom build, no technical questions to answer.
It arrives
A ready-to-go USB stick shows up in your mailbox with simple instructions. Nothing to download, nothing to set up.
Plug in & drive
Insert the USB, start your car, and wait about a minute. The upgrade applies itself and you're done.
Start to finish, the only things you touch are the USB and your start button.
Your car already does this. It should do it better.
Faster boot
The screen is touch-ready about 16 seconds sooner — roughly 48 seconds down to 32 — and CarPlay connects about 16–20 seconds sooner from a cold start, every start. Less waiting before you pull out of the driveway.
More stable
Your car keeps running background services for hardware it doesn't have, like a CD player it never shipped with. ScreenTune switches off about a dozen background services it doesn't need and frees noticeably more memory free. More free memory means fewer restarts and stutters.
Use the screen while moving
Removes the factory lock-out that disables the touchscreen while you're driving — the same always-on screen every new car ships with today. You decide how to use it; the responsibility stays with the driver.
Fewer daily annoyances
No more startup disclaimer to dismiss, snappier menus, fewer needless beeps, menus and lists that wrap around instead of dead-ending, and a handful of small quality-of-life fixes.
A product, not a project.
TESTED ON REAL HARDWARE
Every ScreenTune build is measured on a real Mazda Connect unit before it ships. The numbers you read here come from an on-device profiler timing each boot, not a spec sheet. This isn't an experiment you run; it's a product we stand behind.
REVERSIBLE BY DESIGN
Changed your mind? Uninstall from the Miatafy app and it restores the original files it backed up, returning the screen to how it was. No change is risk-free. The rare failure is a recoverable boot loop, and it never stops the car from driving.
MADE FOR YOUR CAR
We confirm your model, year, and firmware version when you order, so what lands in your mailbox is right for your specific car — and so we don't ship to a car we can't help.
REAL SUPPORT
A real person handles support for 90 days after your order: installation help, recovery assistance, and a free replacement if a drive arrives damaged. If it won't install on a car we confirmed, you get a refund or a replacement.
Made for Gen 6 Mazda Connect, on v74.
ScreenTune fits the factory Gen 6 Mazda Connect screen running v74.00.324A. That's the same system across much of the lineup:
Newer cars on the same name often use a different system. A 2021 CX-5, for example, isn't supported. We confirm your firmware before anything ships, and you can check it yourself under Settings → System → About.
Full supported-vehicle list →One USB. One time. $79.
One standardized product for the whole Mazda Connect generation. No subscription, no per-car build, no surprises.

The honest answers.
Do I need a computer?
No. The only things you ever touch are the USB stick we mail you and your own car. There's nothing to download, install, or flash.
Will it work on my car?
ScreenTune is made for factory Gen 6 Mazda Connect screens on v74.00.324A — the MX-5 (2016–2023), CX-5 and CX-9 (2016–2020), CX-3 (2016–2021), Mazda3 (2014–2018), and Mazda6 (2016–2021). Newer cars on the same name often use a different system. When you order we confirm your model, year, and firmware, so what arrives is right for your car. The full list is on supported vehicles.
Is it safe? Can it be undone?
We test every build on real hardware, and ScreenTune only touches the screen unit — never the engine, brakes, transmission, or anything that moves the car. You can uninstall from the Miatafy app, which restores the files it backed up. No modification is risk-free: the rare failure is a boot loop, which is usually recoverable over USB and doesn't stop the car from driving — the engine, brakes, and gauges all run on their own. The full risk picture is in the safety & risk FAQ.
What doesn't it do?
It doesn't add CarPlay to a car that doesn't have it, turn wired CarPlay into wireless, or change CarPlay itself — it just gets the screen ready sooner, so CarPlay connects sooner too. It adds no apps and no Wi-Fi or SSH access, and it touches nothing outside the screen unit.
Is this a subscription?
No. It's a one-time $79 purchase. You own it.
Is it legal?
It only changes settings on your own car — the same kind of preference changes any owner is free to make. It's your car.
Does it actually make a measurable difference?
Yes, and we measure it on real hardware. CarPlay connected about 16–20 seconds sooner from a cold start (a typical stock boot ~71s down to ~55s — about 16s, up to ~20s on a good boot), and the screen was touch-ready about 16 seconds sooner (around 48 down to 32). ScreenTune also switches off about a dozen background services it doesn't need, leaving noticeably more memory free. Your exact numbers vary by car, but the improvement is the same kind — see the boot benchmarks.
