ScreenTune includes all of these. Customize only if you want to keep a factory behavior.

Keep what you use.

Every enabled Mazda service shares the CMU’s fixed memory pool. Turn off only services you do not use. Additional headroom gives the interface, phone projection, and navigation more room during bursts of work.

Mazda maps and compassTurn off Mazda’s built-in navigation services. CarPlay and Android Auto maps still work. Up to 16.2 MBTurn off

What changes?

This removes Mazda’s map, compass, and matching helper processes—not maps running through CarPlay or Android Auto. Together, they can account for up to 16.2 MB on our test unit, including the navigation service and its helper.

Which voice system?

This is only Mazda’s built-in command button and its speech process. Siri and Google Assistant continue to work through CarPlay and Android Auto. Turning it off can reduce background memory use by up to 8.0 MB on our test unit.

DAB digital radioTurn off built-in DAB services if this car does not use them. Up to 5.5 MBTurn off

Do I have DAB?

DAB is the factory digital-radio source used in some countries. FM/AM, Bluetooth, USB audio, and phone apps are separate and stay available. Turning it off can reduce background memory use by up to 5.5 MB on our test unit.

Built-in SiriusXMTurn off the Mazda dashboard service, not the SiriusXM app on your phone. Up to 46.0 MBTurn off

Built-in vs. phone app

This is the satellite-radio tile and receiver integrated into Mazda Connect. Streaming the SiriusXM phone app over Bluetooth, CarPlay, or Android Auto is unaffected. Its supporting processes can use up to 46.0 MB on our test unit.

Why is Aha separate?

Aha, Pandora, and Stitcher are separate Mazda integrations. You can turn Aha off while keeping Pandora. Aha can use up to 6.9 MB on our test unit. Turning off both Aha and Stitcher may also stop a helper using up to 5.3 MB.

What stays working?

This affects only Pandora inside Mazda’s Applications menu. The Pandora app still plays through Bluetooth, CarPlay, and Android Auto. Pandora can use up to 6.3 MB on our test unit. Turning off both Pandora and Stitcher may also stop a helper using up to 7.4 MB.

Why is this recommended?

Stitcher shut down in 2023, so the Mazda integration can no longer provide the service. It can use up to 5.8 MB on our test unit. Keeping it off may also stop shared helpers when Aha or Pandora is off.
